We are seeking a skilled technician who can handle a variety of tasks to support robotics efforts. This will include using hand tools and rapid prototyping tools such as plasma cutters, 3D printers, laser cutters and more, as well as configuring wireless networks. The position will also include maintenance of our lab spaces, including organization and repairs.

It is not expected that an applicant will have every skill. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, enjoys learning and receiving feedback, and is comfortable working both in a team and independently.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Hardware skills, such as welding, soldering, and wiring

• Experience with hand tools and power tools including assembly, repair, and maintenance of equipment

• Rapid prototyping equipment such as plasma cutters, 3D printers, laser cutters

• Proficiency with network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting

• Knowledge of or desire to learn sustainable farming practices
